The commercial exploitation of methane from coal mines brings benefits that include improved air quality and mine safety, a new source of energy, an additional revenue stream for the coal mine, increased mine productivity, and reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Injecting CO2, nitrogen, or flue gas into coal seams to improve methane recovery (ECBM) is now a well established technology and practice.

  • Review and recommend placement,  and profile, of new placement wells to ensure effective sweep efficiency and alignment with respect to stress profile
