Our History
Dr. S. M. (Sam) Avasthi, P.E., an engineering alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Imperial College London, and Texas A&M University, after working for 20 years with major global integrated energy producing and consulting companies, founded Avasthi & Associates, Inc. in 1990 to provide state-of-the-art energy consulting and customized training services to the worldwide energy industry at the most reasonable cost. He now serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Avasthi & Associates, Inc.
Dr. J. M. (Jay) Avasthi, a geosciences and engineering alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), the University of Minnesota, and the University of Wisconsin, after working for 24 years with Chevron Corporation, joined Avasthi & Associates, Inc. in 2003 as Director of Geoservices (Geomechanics, Geosciences, and CO2 Geosequestration). He now serves as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Avasthi & Associates, Inc.
